'Scuba School', at/in Groton - I'm the guy in the bottom row, in the middle, holding the tanks. We started with some forty guys - all, save-for-one, enlisted - and one chap, who *failed*, was a Marine !!! - and twelve graduated with me. It wasn't easy, that school - and, the deal was that I had to pay all expenses - travel, food - it was worth it, tho'.
The Afro - I was raised with the Athabaskan AmerIndians in Alaska - and I never understood 'racism-against-Negros' - and still don't. The Afro was a (small, probably-misunderstood) protest against racism. Remember, that was, about, 1975. Remember ALSO that I've also married, since married a Chinese Lady, and have a Chinese Daughter.
