In May of 1999, former USS Ray crew member LT(SS) Ross Rogers requested replacement medals for his time in the US Navy.  On 2 Nov, 1999, Ross received a letter from BuPers which in part listed "Unit Awards and Campaign Presentation" for USS Ray, SSN-653.  The data was stated to be current as of 27 May 1999.
